Ten Years of Copyright Termination
What We've Learned and Where We're Going
This talk will discuss the copyright termination jurisprudence under Section 304 in the last ten years, since works created after 1978 first became eligible for termination. We will discuss some of the landmark cases in the area and focus on issues where significant uncertainty remains, including questions regarding statutes of limitations, ownership disputes, works made for hire, and the impact of loan-out companies on termination.
